2005 Florida Annual Conference Event Preschool* Child Care
*Child care is offered for preschool age children only!
The Florida Annual Conference and First UMC, Lakeland will again provide preschool child care for delegates who are attending business sessions of the 2005 Florida Annual Conference Event, June 2-5. Preschool child care will also be offered on Wednesday, June 1, for those delegates participating in the Pre-Conference Missional Outreach Project who need preschool child care and for the Ministers’ Mates Luncheon on Saturday.
In order to provide this service, it is imperative that we know how many children will be attending, therefore pre-registration is required. If you show up at First UMC, Lakeland not having pre-registered, there is a very good possibility you will be turned away. Pre-registration ensures that we have enough child care workers on duty to meet the child/worker ratio (required by law) and also prevents us from having too many workers on duty, which hurts us financially. Please be considerate of the staff at First UMC, Lakeland who are providing this service for you and for the Conference. If your child care needs change from what you initially request on the pre-registration form enclosed, please let them know so they can adjust their staffing needs accordingly. No shows really hurt us all!

| COST: |
A $25 non-refundable registration fee covers your child care cost for the entire week, whether you need child care for one day or for all 4 and 1/2 days. Add $10 for each additional child. (For example, the cost for child care for two children for the week would be $35; three children would be $45.) |
| A $10 non-refundable registration fee covers your child care cost for the Ministers’ Mates Luncheon ONLY. Add $5 for each additional child. (For example, the cost for child care for two children for the Ministers’ Mates Luncheon (only) would be $15, three children $20. |
WHAT TO BRING:
- Children under age 2 will need to have a copy of their health and shot record with them when they come (to be in compliance with our local licensing agency).
- Bring any necessary clothes or diapers. It is essential that you label your child’s items such as clothing, bottles, bags, pacifiers, etc.
- Your child may eat lunch at the nursery any day (usually around 11:00am) if you wish to pack a sack lunch.
- If you are using the nursery on Wednesday while you participate in the Missional Outreach Project, or for the Ministers’ Mates Luncheon on Saturday, please pack a sack lunch for your child.
