The 2006 Florida Annual Conference Event is June 1-3 at the Lakeland Center. Its theme is “Witness With Power,” derived from the first two chapters of the Book of Acts, and it will feature a strong emphasis on the ministry of laity.
This year's session will be just three days, ending Saturday instead of Sunday, in part, to enable pastors to be with their congregations on Pentecost Sunday.
The event begins June 1, but several activities are taking place May 31, including registration and the opening of the ministry expo, featuring representatives of hundreds of ministry areas sharing the good works and news of conference ministries, as well as vendors of interest to local churches. Two sessions providing disaster response training for local churches will also be provided that day.
