James 1:13, 14 NLT
“And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.”
Jesus told us to pray and ask the Father to “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” That’s a really good prayer because temptation is everywhere. That feeling you have that you want to do something you know you shouldn’t, to take something that isn’t yours or to say something that isn’t true–that’s temptation. It happens to all of us. The important thing is to call on Jesus for help. When temptation rings the doorbell ask Jesus to answer it.
