ABOUT MINISTRY PROTECTION
The Book of Discipline calls us to ensure that "the church, its properties and its personnel are properly protected against risks." Proverbs 22:3 states "A prudent man foresees danger and takes precautions..."
Established in 1995 by vote of Florida Conference congregations, our program (termed Ministry Protection and otherwise known as Risk Management) provides standardized and comprehensive property and casualty insurance coverage and risk management resources for all Conference churches, schools and affiliated ministries.
It is only by virtue of our unique connectional nature that we are collectively able to provide insurance coverages to all churches affiliated with the Florida Conference, regardless of physical location, that otherwise may have been unattainable to individual congregations.
In addition to comprehensive insurance coverage, our program offers numerous value added services available at no cost to local congregations, such as risk management consulting, safety and security evaluations, property appraisals, as well as a wide variety of other programs. Participation by local congregations in these important programs benefits all churches in the Conference by helping control risk and, therefore, future insurance costs.
We thank all local congregations and ministries for their support. We are grateful to serve as stewards of the insurance program that enables local congregations to better devote their time and resources to serving the Kingdom of God.
