NEW - Recently, the United Methodist Council of Bishops issued a pastoral letter, "God's Renewed Creation: Call to Hope and Action." Study guides and materials for small-groups to explore this important document from our bishops to the church are available by clicking here. The letter is available in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and English.
Outreach Ministries challenge and confront churches to live the gospel they are called to proclaim through acts of love and grace to the least and the lost in their neighborhoods. Outreach ministries are community based and supported by local congregations.
The Advance for Christ and His Church is a way for churches and individuals to designate their donations for specific ministries. These ministries meet strict guidelines that give confidence to the donor. These are projects that provide the means for missionaries and national churches to accomplish their ministries.

Florida United Methodists continue to solidify the foundation established in the original Covenant partnership in 1997, withlong-lasting relationships with their sister churches and their brothers and sisters in Cuba Methodist churches.
Disaster Recovery is a ministry, not just an action to prepare for and mitigate disasters. Developing a disaster plan prepares any congregation for ministry. The Florida Conference Disaster Recovery Ministry provides experience, guidance, and orientation.
The Florida Conference has a partnership with the East Angola Conference. Gradually we are developing a powerful relationship with our sisters and brothers in Christ in The United Methodist Church there. In the future we hope to increase the personal bond between people here and there.
The Haiti Florida covenant seeks to strengthen connections between the two conferences and encourage sharing experiences and resources. The covenant fosters an equal exchange of ideas and a better understanding among Florida United Methodists about the plight of Haitians.
The Florida Conference, through the Council of Bishops' Initiative on Children and Poverty (BICAP) has a partnership with the children and their families in Florida. This multi-faceted ministry initiative offers Florida United Methodists many opportunities to minister to the least of God's children.
Missionary work finds its origin in the Scriptures. The New Testament missionaries were witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the very first years of the Christian church. Today the United Methodist Church has 928 missionaries serving in 62 countries.
The Florida Conference Refugee Ministry is recognized as an Advance Special Ministry. The purpose of this Ministry is to address the growing needs of the immigrant and refugee communities, to coordinate ministry and advocacy efforts on behalf of those communities, to educate persons on immigration issues, and to engage local congregations in advocacy around immigration issues.
United Methodist Volunteers in Mission is a hands-on mission experience for all Florida United Methodists. Children, Youth, and Adults may participate in hundreds of mission experiences from VBS and Christian witnessing, to construction of chapels and parsonages on a global context.
